On this page you’ll see a number of examples of our parquet flooring work, and you’ll notice we often work with reclaimed hardwoods. They’ve become a popular choice amongst our clients, as they are more eco-friendly than new wood, and reclaimed wood is usually harder due to pressures it has already sustained. Reclaimed wood also has a previous life and sometimes a story to go with it.

Below is a solid oak wood floor installation completed by us, Wood Floor Solutions NW, at a house in North Wales (Prestatyn). The solid oak blocks have been arranged in a classic parquet pattern, which provide strength across the whole floor and an attractive, timeless look.
After preparing the floor, this parquet flooring was sanded and sealed using a three-coat lacquer system to give a matt finish.
For this beautiful wood floor installation in Anglesey, North Wales, we used reclaimed solid pitch pine wood. This wood species has dark, thick lines that contrast with a pale honey colour, creating a warm, rich hue.
If you’re looking for a more eco-friendly option of wood, using reclaimed wood can be an ideal choice. What’s more, it is often harder than new wood, has deeper lines to provide more character and has history and character, as it’s been used for another purpose.
The patterned parquet flooring is bordered by two blocks, which follow outlines of the fireplace and the outer edges of the room.
This dramatic and striking floor is made from reclaimed solid mahogany.
At first, the reclaimed wood looked dull and dark, but after meticulous standing by our qualified fitters, the wood revealed itself to be a beautiful and contrasting mosaic of light and reddish-brown tones.
It was perfect for the classic parquet arrangement, bordered by two blocks around the edge of the room.
This parquet flooring was installed in Wirral.
Aside from installations, we also repair and renovate parquet flooring. Here, in a property in North Wales (Deganwy), we repaired and renovated a loose parquet floor, bringing it back up to life and character.
See how we transformed the wood flooring in this tight hallway by viewing the photo gallery. This is a real statement floor, with immediate impact and character. This parquet flooring installation in Wirral was made using reclaimed mixed woods, which is how the dramatic differences in colour and tone are achieved.
Here’s an example of a herringbone parquet arrangement, using solid oak floor planks, which we fitted in North Wales (Rhyl). The parquet flooring ran across the living room and into the dining area, to create a feeling of expanse.
This parquet flooring in Cheshire required careful repair and renovation before refitting the wooden blocks. It made an incredible difference to the room, as the wood was restored to its former grain, colour and tone.
